Soho Grand
310 W Broadway Phone: (212) 965-3000 The 363 rooms are smallish, as are their retro gray-and-white-tiled bathrooms with pedestal sinks and little space to put toiletries. The Gallery restaurant serves contemporary regional American fare, while the Grand Bar is an inviting place for evening cocktails and light meals. If you can't bring your own pet, they'll provide goldfish in your room.

Then it was totally renovated into this impressive luxury boutique hotel. High ceilings and large windows add to the grandeur of each room. The
Mercer Hotel is near all of the Soho galleries, and it is not far from Greenwich Village, Little Italy and Chinatown. The super chic restaurant The Mercer Kitchen is located in the basement.

85 West St Phone: (870) 701-4444 This hotel is perfectly located for downtown wheeling and dealing. It's not a surprise that the guests who stay here don't come to gawk at the Statue of Liberty---they come to try and buy it.
